Every landscape photographer knows that half the battle is "waiting for the light to be just right". HOYA's PROND GRAD filters even out the odds by offering a controllable balance between the bright and dark areas (sky and land) of horizontal landscape compositions. Known colloquially as "blenders", these high quality filters are made with HOYA's ACCU-ND deposition technology, which distributes graduation equally throughout the glass surface. A further refinement is the adjustment of the way that the specific density starts and fades out inside the image area-making for a smooth and natural fade that enriches the highlights and lets the darker areas breath. These variable filters are available in 0-4 (PROND GRAD 16) and 0-5 stop (PROND GRAD 32) strengths.
