HOYA engineers have developed a new ANTISTATIC coating that acts like a force field around the filter to repel dust. The coating technology is fused with the PRO1D filter of an existing product, and a new product is born. Its name is the FUSION Antistatic.
Perfect for environments where dust is common, these filters require less frequent cleaning and maintenance than traditional filters. Additionally, the hardened, antistatic top-layer is water repellent, stain and scratch resistant, and cleans easily when smudges or fingerprints are introduced to the surface.
The new FUSION Antistatic filters are made in Japan using hand selected silicates that are carefully smelted and blended to yield high performance optical glass. Hoya then uses extreme care and precision to apply the Improved 18 layer Super Multi-coating formula which greatly reduces or eliminates reflections on the surface of the glass and gives ultra clear high transmission rate. This means the filter has virtually no effect on the color balance, contrast, or clarity of the final image.
The filters in the new FUSION Antistatic series utilize a lightweight, low-profile aluminum frame which has anodic oxidation coatings on aluminum to house the glass. This one-piece design allows the filter to maintain perfect parallel alignment to the sensor plane for maximum sharpness, while the low-profile frame eliminates vignetting when used on ultra-wide-angle lenses.
The new FUSION Antistatic series of filters consist of Protector, UV and Circular Polarizer in common sizes ranging from 37mm to 82mm.
HOYA is the world's largest optical glass manufacturer and holds 50% of the share throughout the world on all production of optical glass. Within this field of optical glas production, HOYA is exceptionally featured, without comparison to any other competitors. It supplies its glass to most of the renown optical lens manufacturers in Japan and around the world and holds the number one share of camera filters world-wide. Kenko Tokina is the world-wide export agent for HOYA filters.
